🌿 The Walkabout

Not therapy. Not another Zoom meeting. Real talk, on foot.

What it is

The Walkabout is a 75-minute guided walk in nature — part strategy session, part soul reset. For those in the process of stewarding something into form.

It’s not therapy. It’s not business-as-usual consulting. It’s something in between: confidential, catalytic, embodied.

You arrive with whatever you’re creating or carrying. We’ll work it through together. Out from behind a screen, on trail, we use all our intelligences: cognitive, emotional, somatic, relational, and spiritual.

Together, we’ll generate clarity, perspective, and action steps — if you so chose. You’ll walk away feeling lighter, more alive, and with renewed confidence to continue your journey.

Who It’s For

  • Entrepreneurs & Leaders looking for a pause to re-connect to the strategic, a place to drop the weight, or a moment to untangle a tangle. You’re currently in the high pressure churn of decisions, team dynamics, fundraising, or burnout and needing an effective way to offload, surface, be strategic, and dive back in.

  • Creatives & Dreamers birthing something new into form — a book, a company, a personal brand, a passionate side hustle or your creative side. You’re keeping it all in your head in between “real life responsibilities” but it’s confusing, solitary, and you’re not making the progress you aspire to. You need a sounding board familiar with the creative process to help you make sense of what it is you’re actually doing. And you need some accountability to take real courageous action to bring it to life.

  • Strivers & Seekers in transition, between what was and what’s next, wanting the clarity that comes from reconnection to self, spirit, and what matters. You’ve left a job, relationship, community, or a past version of your self (or you want to). You’re evaluating risk and next steps. Or, you’re finally stable and asking yourself is this it? You know life is precious and you’re ready to align yourself with what brings you alive.

Why a Walk?

Because real change requires more than talking.

  • Get Embodied & Alive — Walking in nature restores vitality and perspective. When your body moves, your thinking shifts. Ideas, emotions, and blunt truths surface more easily, which are keys to change.

  • Integrate your Intelligences — the cognitive, emotional, somatic, spiritual, and relational blend on foot. This is you, integrating your own wisdom, which is limited behind a screen.

  • Catalyze Challenges Faster — In 75 minutes, you cut through noise and leave with tangible clarity and next steps. One session can shift what months of circling can’t.

  • Up-level Through Perspective — Science shows we change when we’re seen, heard, and witnessed. On the Walkabout, you’re held in a safe container and pulled out of the spin of your own head, team, or family.

In which Direction shall we begin?

  • For strategy in motion — sharpening ideas, reworking plans, and leveraging practical know-how to move forward.

    Examples:

    • Ideating creative & effective marketing plans

    • Re-working product positioning

    • Pivoting a business model

    • Preparing a fundraising story

    • Navigating accelerators

    • Exploring mental health/brain health innovations

    • Storytelling your company’s “why”

  • For the times you can’t see the forest for the trees — when you don’t even know what the problem is, you just know something feels off.

    Examples:

    • Aspiring to start or change something but feeling stuck

    • Circling the same decision again and again

    • Not being able to see the forest for the trees

    • Feeling stuck without language for why

    • Needing an outside perspective to re-orient

  • For the human side of creating and leading — the messy, emotional, often unspoken challenges of building.

    Examples:

    • Co-founder challenges

    • Relating with Investors

    • Fundraising & pitching woes

    • Mission drift or disillusionment

    • Facing the need for a pivot or sale

    • Working with burnout, self-doubt, chronic stress or anxiety

    • Team trust

  • For when things are good, but you’re aching to vision bigger and expand into what’s calling.

    Examples:

    • Bringing words & voice to a nascent dream

    • Ideating a new business from scratch

    • Mapping a product or business extension

    • Writing a book

    • Starting a podcast

    • Creating a a personal brand you feel good about

    • Weaving joy, wellness, and creative rhythms into your work routines

Bring yourself — in full. The tangles, the unspoken truths, and the dreams.

  • The co-founder conflict you can’t untangle.

  • The fundraising pitch that’s coming out awkward at best.

  • The creative project you keep starting and stalling.

  • The multiple versions of yourself you can’t seem to integrate yet.

  • The marketing challenge you need to solve yesterday.

  • The frustration, exhaustion, and apathy cueing you’re edging on burnout.

Along the Trail

No two Walkabouts are the same. Depending on what you bring and what I sense, we may weave in:

  • Stillness & Silence → guided meditation or breath to reset the nervous system.

  • Spiritual Tap-Ins → a visualization, labyrinth-style walk, or simple ceremonial moments to mark endings, beginnings, support release, and re-center you.

  • Physical Exertion → hill sprints, shaking, tree climbs, or calisthenics to literally move stuck energy.

  • Somatic Play or Re-sensitization → embodied exercises that get you out of your mind and into your body, so you unlock dormant truths beyond thought.

  • Trail Notes (Audio Recording) → I can record the session so you can revisit your own words and insights later, without worrying about taking notes. Either way, I’ll share a short note within 24 hours with key insights, action steps, or prompts.

  • After Care & Integration → Within 48 hours, I’ll check in with you via short phone call or voice messages to make sure whatever we surfaced is integrating — so you feel cared for and gain real impact from our time.

Every Walkabout is customized, intuitive, and embodied. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes it’s gritty. Sometimes it’s strategic. Always, it’s what you need most that day.

What You’ll Leave With

  • Clarity on the heart of the challenge and what really matters.

  • Next steps you can act on right away (whether personal, creative, or strategic).

  • A lighter load — stress off your chest, perspective in your pocket.

  • An embodied reset from moving while you think and talk.

  • “Trail notes” via audio recording (if you choose) so you can revisit the insights anytime.

  • 5,000 - 10,000 steps depending on the vibe of the day

Meet Cristina

I’ve built companies, raised capital, worked at Google and Headspace, and coached dozens of founders and leaders through reinvention. I’ve also walked through burnout, concussions, identity crises, and the very real challenges of owning my Womanhood (my authenticity) in the worlds of business, finance, and technology.

I didn’t find my way forward by cranking harder at a desk. That’s actually how I failed — by traditional definitions at least. Clarity came when I let the chips fall and kept moving: walking New England forests, California beaches, and Colorado mountains until my body, intuition, mind, and various dormant selves came online and aligned. I learned to listen to the truths hidden in the “inconvenient” places — hunches, emotions, aches, stubbornness, relentless curiosities, and burnout.

Over time, I’ve learned the best unlocks and up-levels don’t come from existing playbooks or from sitting behind desks and screens. They come from the times we have the courage to pause and take a walk. Unlocks come from honest conversations with those we trust that have relevant experience and the hearts to allow our deep truths to air. That’s why I walk with people now — not as a therapist or consultant, but as a woman who’s walked through quite a few fires. I knows it’s critical to progress on journeys of leadership, creation, and self-potentiation.

I can’t fire-walk for you. But I can journey with you as you do. See you on trail.

 FAQs

  • You’re not paying for a hike. You’re paying for:

15+ years of lived experience across startups, marketing, leadership, coaching, facilitation, and embodiment.

A confidential container where you can be fully honest and unload with someone who’s been in the arena.

Straight talk + strategy + somatics woven together in a way no therapist, consultant, or coach alone can give you.

An embodied evening that clears your head, moves your energy, and restores your perspective.

A crisp arc with tangible takeaways, not endless sessions that go nowhere.

  • With all the love and candor I can muster (because this was me, and still is sometimes), you could continue:

    • Spinning in your own head
Endlessly circling the same thoughts, pros/cons lists, and mental debates without new perspective. This often amplifies stress, anxiety, and self-doubt instead of creating clarity.

    • Talking to your spouse/partner/parents/friends/investors/employees
Venting to people close to you who care deeply — but who are biased, not neutral, and often can’t hold the complexity of leadership, creative work, or personal reinvention. Sometimes this creates more guilt, defensiveness, or challenges than clarity.

    • Doubling down on work
Pouring more hours into screens, decks, or Slack channels, hoping that sheer effort will produce clarity. Usually this accelerates burnout, keeps you disconnected from what your body & spirit need, and keeps you spinning in the same problem space.

    • Hire a traditional therapist
Helpful for long-term healing, but often slow, clinical, or narrowly focused on the past rather than immediate clarifying for business or creative challenges.

    • Hire an executive or performance coach
Structured and tactical, but usually cognitive-only. Doesn’t access somatic, emotional, or spiritual intelligences — which means the same patterns often resurface later. Also - not as fun! And we need play to learn.

    • Solo walks / journaling / meditation
Grounding and restorative, but still solitary. Without another witness, it’s easy to avoid the deeper truths. We need other people to see us change to embody new identities; we can’t do that alone.

    • Wellness “fixes” / escapes
Retreats, yoga classes, sound baths, or podcasts that offer temporary relief but don’t tie back to specific challenges, decisions, or the accountability of next steps.

    • If you’re looking for a licensed therapist - that’s not me.
